8/2/2017 · I can adopt all of my AP’s and Switches. When I plug in my USG , I see it, and can click Adopt but it fails every time. Now the interesting part. I am aware that the factory settings are for it to be 192.168.1.x, but when I attempt to adopt it, the IP on the USG does change to my network 10.0.0.x, but fails to adopt .

I cannot get my USG to adopt , it says adoption failed. This happened about a week ago after the cloudkey became corrupted after changing the DNS from adguard back to cloudflare. So I restored the cloudkey gen2 plus using one of the backup files from a couple weeks ago everything seems to work except the USG will not adopt .

10/12/2019 · I also did not want to change anything on the network. After the upgrade to the Ubiquiti USG , I am now getting 115 Mbps. About an 18% increase over 95mbps. Before I started adopting the Unifi Security Gateway I set all my network settings in the controller.
When you’re deploying a USG in your network, you can end up in a situation where your controller tries to configure the site for a certain network, but your USG still provides an outdated configuration via DHCP. The result is that the USG is in a different network than the rest of your devices. This will make it impossible to adopt the USG.
3/20/2018 · The USG shows up in the Devices list ready for adoption , I click [ Adopt ] and almost immediately get Adoption Failed. Huh! After a bit of futzing around and digging through the Unifi help forum it dawned on me what the problem is: The internal network of the USG by default uses network 192.168.1.0/24 with the USG using IP 192.168.1.1.
